Swedish
 beauty company, Oriflame Cosmetics, has announced the appointment of 
three renowned Eastafrican celebrities as brand ambassadors. The three 
Lady Jaydee, Juliana Kanyomozi and Jamila Mbugua, will represent the 
Oriflame brand in Uganda, Tanzania and Kenya respectively.
The
 partnership is in line with the company’s growth strategy underlined by
 growing its East Africa sales force and expansion to other African 
markets. The strategy is anchored on four main pillars including network
 marketing, world class service, brands & products and people and 
culture.
Oriflame
 East Africa Managing Director, Mr. Klas Kronaas, expressed delight that
 the East African operation had brought on board authentic brand 
evangelists who are as passionate about the brand as the company is to 
nature inspired beauty products.
“Lady
 Jaydee , Juliana and Jamila have been named because their style and 
approach to beauty is the ideal representation for the Oriflame brand. 
They are strong and talented women who many people across East Africa 
readily identify with,” said Kronaas.
Oriflame
 East Africa Head of Marketing and Sales Support, Mr. Harry Njagi said 
the three brand ambassadors will feature in Oriflame’s Catalogue, and 
will also be engaged in selected brand events to represent the Oriflame 
brand throughout the year. The partnership will also extend to joint CSR
 activities with the celebrities.
“Our
 products - inspired by nature are very popular with women of all ages 
across East Africa, especially owing to the fact that we have the widest
 range in personal care and the signing of these three passionate women 
is expected to deepen our market access and increase our brand 
visibility,” said Mr. Njagi.
Lady
 Jaydee is one of the best known female artistes in East Africa and was 
among the first to sing R & B in Swahili. She has won over 6 Best 
Female Awards at the prestigious Tanzania Music Awards and many other 
Awards in the region including collaboration of the year 2011 
(Nitafanya) with Kidum and also 2008 (Anita) with Matonya.
She
 has also recorded with a number of artists including Samba Mapangala 
(Congo), Chameleone (Uganda), Mad Ice (Uganda / Tanzania), and Mina Nawe
 (South Africa) amongst others. She is married to Times FM presenter 
Gardner Habbash.
Uganda’s
 Juliana is a well known musician, actress and entertainer who has, 
since 2009, graced East African TV screens as one of the Judges of 
Tusker Project Fame. She collaborated with Bobi Wine on songs such as: 
"Taata Wa Baana Yaani?" (Who is the Father of her Kids?) and "Maama 
Mbiire". She also worked with Sweet Kid on the track "Sirinaayo Mulala" 
(I don't have anyone else) and with Klear Kut on the song "All I Wanna 
Know".
Kenya’s
 Jamila Mbugua is a TV personality, who has worked for various TV 
stations in Kenya for over 10 years and currently runs a popular show on
 K24.
Oriflame, which celebrated its 5th
 anniversary last December, has designated the next 3 years as a period 
of rapid growth as the company consolidates its East African operations
