Man-of-the match Wayne Rooney says
England have proved they are a 'great team' after beating Poland 2-0 and
securing their place at next summer's World Cup finals.
Rooney opened the scoring in the 41st minute before captain Steven Gerrard completed the victory in the closing stages.
'Going into these two games there was a lot of belief and we have gone out and shown we are a great team, Rooney told ITV1.
'We knew it would be a tough game. They had a couple of breaks and they could have scored so we were fortunate.
'We played some great stuff and getting the goal in the first half gave us the belief we could go on and win the game.
